MA ORCHESTRATION FOR FILM, GAMES & TELEVISION
If you want to write uplifting, epic orchestral music for film, games or television, this is the course that will give you the technical and creative skills you need – taking you from first sketch through sampled mock-up, then onto the final recording session with a live orchestra.

Explore the process of creating and manipulating sounds for a wide variety of game genres. MA COMPOSING FOR VIDEO GAMES
Working with video games has many of its own challenges, and this course will teach you how to work in an adaptive and interactive medium, whilst also looking at the different compositional techniques used for different types of video games. You will look at audio implementation, looping and layering, dynamic scoring, and much more.

Cover all areas of composing for media, be it TV, film, games, library music, trailers, and more. You will also learn specific skills that apply to the technicalities of writing music for games. This course combines skills from Professional Media Composition and Composing for Video Games.
MFA VIDEO GAME MUSIC & AUDIO
You will learn how to create, record and implement various types of sound and effects for games, as well as develop your compositional skills while you write for games projects. This course combines skills from Composing for Video Games and Sound Design for Video Games.
MFA MUSIC PRODUCTION AND ORCHESTRATION
The orchestra can always be found in the world of commercial music in some form and can be used to great effect. This program will give you the contemporary songwriting and production skills you need to build a strong career, and also the technical and creative skills required to utilise the full capabilities of an orchestral ensemble.

This course will train and prepare you for a career as a media composer or contemporary artist, focussing on the creative and technical skills required to thrive in both industries. Home to the prestigious Bournemouth Film School – whose alumni include film director Edgar Wright (Baby Driver) and screenwriter Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire) – AUB is a public university on the south coast of England. Its history dates back to the 1880s.
AUB provide academic oversight across our programmes, which are subject to the same rigorous quality checks as degrees taught by all UK universities.
We offer three different schedules so you can pick which best fits around your life. It is also possible to switch between these schedules at certain points during the degree, should you find that that you have more or less time available than you anticipated. You can also pause your degree altogether if life gets in the way.
